Our own workshops can design and fabricate a vast range of structures in green oak or other materials. Combine this expertise with our unique experience of working in and near water, and you have all the makings of a traditional boat house which will complement your lake and is built to last.
Our craftsmen also take great pride in restoring existing structures, sometimes working to original drawings or measuring and fabricating new pieces to match the original.
Our fully equipped workshop has established a well-earned reputation for designing and fabricating timber structures to compliment any body of water.
Working mainly in green oak, our timber structures are bespoke items, designed to fit into a specific location, and often finished in a style selected by the client.
We are also CE accredited to Level 3 (EN1090) and produce a wide range of made to measure products using steel, in some cases upgrading or improving existing structures. This includes the fabrication of composite deck and stainless-steel handrails.
Often used as an alternative to timber, recycled plastic is hard, extremely durable and available in a range of colours. Recycled plastic is useful for a variety of applications and is typically used in the construction of angling platforms, submerged planting boxes, small bridges and decking.
Typically, we use dark brown or black to blend the structures in with their surrounding landscape and only use stainless steel bolts and screws so you can be assured that the fixings last as long as the material.
Our fabrication facilities are fully equipped for steel fabrication, producing a wide range of water control structures, including penstocks, hatches, sluice gates and weed racks, working in hardwoods and mild steel. We also weld stainless steel for special applications, including bespoke stilling tubes and other water monitoring equipment for the Environment Agency.
A challenge we often face is replicating existing vintage hatch gates and winding gear, to ensure replacements match the originals within their traditional settings. Managing the water flows whilst these replacements are fitted can also presents a real challenge, but we offer the experience, skills and specialist equipment to carry out this work safely, to budget and on time.
