Three Ponds Desilted

image-1Over the years desilting has been a core activity for Kingcombe Aquacare. Whether it is large lakes and reservoirs or small ponds, we have cleared them of silt to give them a new lease of life.

Our latest desilting project was to clean out three pools in the beautiful gardens of a house in Somerset for a Private Client. We have previously cleaned the ponds out around 12 years ago. The smallest was about 300m2 in surface area and the largest pool  around 1400m2 with up to 1m depth of silt.

The water was drained out and then the silt loaded into a pumping system to move the waste around 1km to farmland.

We applied on behalf of the Client for an exemption to the waste regulations to allow the legal disposal of the silt to land.

The work took a couple of weeks to complete before we allowed the three ponds to refill.
