“The waterfall and lake have been a great success and draw many favourable comments from our guests. They just look as if they have always been there.” – Private Client
Kingcombe Aquacare are delighted to have worked with leading landscape architects Macgregor Smith on the waterscape for Europe’s largest shopping centre.
The pond holds 225,000 litres of water and is situated on a podium on the roof of a block of mixed commercial and residential flats. It was built to encourage biodiversity, harvest rainwater and improve the landscape.
We’re not deterred by the rain whilst working on the Rathbone Market redevelopment. The wet weather has meant we’ve had to put up a gazebo, which enables us to continue lining work on our rooftop garden pond, even in wet conditions.
The Rathbone Market project – to build a pond in an East London rooftop garden – is progressing well.
Kingcombe Aquacare is soon to start a new project at Rathbone Market in Canning Town, building a pond at podium level.
Our Waterscapes team were instructed to recreate a Japanese pond feature after two previous contractors had failed. With exposed liner, incorrect gradient and numerous leaks, it was decided that the old membrane needed removing, the profile re-shaping and a new liner installing. Working around many delicate and specimen plants, our Waterscapes team skillfuly manouvered large machinery into position to carry out the work.
